It’s the holiday season and there are plenty of work gatherings, balls and ugly Christmas sweater parties to attend.  When Keenya called for a few of those events, she knew that she wanted to wear Emerald to the emerald ball.  However, I live in a small market and didn’t have a lot of time to do a thorough search for an evening gown. Living in a small city, it’s common that someone could be wearing the same dress as you.

I was not having. I found this Badgley Mischka gown in the knick of time for Dr. Keenya. Normally, she would not pick a dress for herself that had lace detailing and was form fitting.  She loved it the moment I sent the picture and it looked so fabulous in person.  I paired the stunning gown with modest accessories- gold chandelier earrings, rose gold clutch and rose gold studded sandals.

I did her makeup, keeping the look somewhat natural, but with a touch of gold: a shimmering gold eye, rosy cheeks and natural lips. I always decided loose curls would be fitting for the evening.
