I’m all about making good first impressions and leaving a lasting mark. Personality and style gives me that flare. When i’m not feeling my absolute best, I know a great outfit is sure to pump my inner Ric Flair (WHOOOOO). That’s exactly what I felt like in my new threads from #clubmonaco. Effortless, high end casual wear that gave me so much confidence in what I was wearing.
I’m usually not a black and grey person, definitely not together….but honey. I’m living for this ‘expensive habits’ look. When I saw this coat, it had my name on it! Plus, it was 30% off! Believe it or not, the cashmere sweater 1. fit like a glove and 2. it was too, on sale. I also paired the look with some great, handmade jewelry from two local Savannah Artists.
What’s the point of it all….
Just like mixing two jewelry aesthetics, mixing high end casual wear with items in your closet can give you the ‘expensive habits’ look…Falling back to style staples and simple colors can pull out your Flair.
Fall to winter transition staples: black high neck sweater, black boots, tailored coat. Remember culottes? We call them gauchos, but our moms called them culottes. I kind of like that term better.
I mixed my Club Monaco pieces with a Fedora on Banana Republic clearance, simplistic silver chain to break up the black, natural stone embedded jewelry and my old Kate Spade purse and Manolo Blahnik boots.
About the accessories:
This teardrop necklace is silver and brass…perfect for cool and warm tones. The silver pairs well with the grey and black, while the brass pulls together the gold hardware on the coat. Plus, Tatiana hand makes this and other simplistic styles and a portion of all her proceeds go to charity!
The unique artisan designs by Kristen are eclectic! I love layering her pieces and she uses natural and ethically sourced stones. For a pop of color, I added the chalcedony and smokey quartz rings, plus the rose quartz in the ring is so subtle.
