Layering is a style essential, especially when you want to add depth or just mix up several pieces in your wardrobe. Check out how I pulled together these warm, cozy blush and purple toned look that exudes contemporary yet classic Southern Charm.

A few things I love: warmth and colors. I think that’s evident if you’ve been following me. I also love mixing patterns and textures to bring together a cohesive look, similar to this chunky knit sweater. I purchased this a week ago, and i’ve already worn it twice. The color is so perfect and neutral, it can be worn year round with any color palette, with basic jeans, united skirt or layered with a button down underneath.

I opted to pair this cable knit with a floral patterned button down, just enough so you can see the colors of the top and how the floral button down pulls together the entire look — fuchsia coat and lightly colored eggplant flats. Bright patterns and texture with the cable knit brings life to this Southern look, my Southern style. Of course, I added some fun clips to my hair, an A-Lined fuchsia coat and sequined earrings.
