Fashionable Fall Florals

It’s no secret, I am obsessed with prints… primarily florals. I must pay thanks to fashion gurus and designers for making the transition on the stylish population easy by making it ‘trendy’ to wear florals well into fall. But, i’ll let you in on a Southern Secret… it’s okay for Southerners to get away with more fashion faux pas than most because of our climate and slow season change. Climatology out of the way, let’s smell the roses.

I was recently quoted in Sea Island Life talking all about Falling For Florals, so I want to show you some of my favorite ways to style your florals this fall. I showed you two ways to style this silk floral dress, but here are some other tips:

Over the Top Accessories

If it’s okay for SJP and SATC and Devil Wears Prada, daggit, it’s good enough for me! Big hats, big earrings, big bags…big attitude!

Tip: when wearing a full head to toe pattern, break it up with a belt, scarf, vest… or big yellow bag.

Layering

Layering will take you from semi warm fall to brisk, I need some chili fall fast and will keep you warm!

Adding or subtracting your layers during the day based on your own body temperatures is a cool way of saying – check out my textures and depth.

Can’t believe this dress is sold out at Target! Literally got it last week…but the print is a Fall print in a BLOUSE, SKIRT, DUSTER and BAG! Blazer HERE $35!

Semi-Mono Fall Look with Florals

Mono is trendy this fall, but to incorporate florals, use a central color that ties every piece together. While worn with kitten heels, easily swap those for some brown thigh boots!

Love the design feel of Zimmerman in this dress for a full fraction less. Hat – Goorin Bros.
