I love the trench and unconventional jacket/blazer trend. Especially this number from H&M with floral accents…. and kimono details. This combines two spring wardrobe MVPs—florals and jackets—into one seamless look.
If you know or follow me, you know I love makeup! I was super excited when Shayla Mitchell, aka MAKEUPSHAYLA on Instagram had another collar with another affordable brand, COLOURPOP!
I love the visuals and merchandising, but from following her over the years, it’s extremely important to support women of color in the beauty industry and of influence and more importantly, those around, everyday.
The collaboration has a pallet, 3 lipsticks, lip gloss and 2 highlighters. I purchased the bundle (everything) for $59! Such a great deal!
The quality is extremely good for an affordable brand. The eyeshadows are as pigmented in person as they are on YouTube, easy to blend and the lips are extremely creamy!
Check out this look I did with roses and golds in the pallet, perfect for Mother’s Day. You can check out other looks on her YouTube channel. I’ll definitely be wearing this all summer!
Happy Monday!!! We’re getting into the home stretch of summer…and summer vacations!!! I’m so excited. I have two trips planned and i’m turning 30, so I’ve been shopping for vacation outfits for a few weeks. I wanted to do something summer-y to pick up my work week vibes and have been living for yellow/gold/mustard tones that have been super trendy since last fall. This look is perfect for any concert, casual event or festival this season.
SPRING IS HEEERRREEEE!!!!!!
I could not be more thrilled. No cold weather or random snow storms in COASTAL GEORGIA. Now that it’s officially and consistently warm outside, I feel certified in wearing my florals and being chased by bees; not really.
I am loving spring trends: stripes, tops that tie, tassel earrings and large flower prints. I’m a bold kinda gal, of course I paired these prints and patterns together for the perfect look for Memorial Day, public speaking event or any Wine and Cheese festival.
For the PERFECT pop to break up the red, Yellow is another hot color.
Seen on Me:
Too many women suffer from not having time to get ready in the morning…any any mornings after they’ve gotten married and/or have children. The focus always shifts from us (me, you, baby) to them (you and baby); the Me gets lost in translation. It’s unfortunate that women have to carry all the burdens we have and are expected to look a certain way…it seems impossible…ESPECIALLY IF YOU ADD WORK INTO THE MIX.
Tiffany is wife, momma, teacher and super-saiyan. The key to adding a little spark back in her life and yours is a cute, simple wardrobe built on separates and wardrobe basics. Check out some of the looks I put together from our shopping trip that did not break the bank. I scored all of these pieces (minus bags) from consignment shopping: Escada, White House Black Market, Vince Camuto, J. Crew, Talbots, Chicos and more for less than $200! 3 pairs of pants, 2 pairs of heels, 3 necklaces and 11 tops to interchange with new and existing bottoms.
Lace is a huge trend this season and it adds a delicate feminine touch. Teacher of the Year, Kiwonda never wears white, unbeknownst to me, but looks fabulous. Just in time for spring and appropriate for several occasions and event, from weddings to work! The bell sleeves add a fun vibe to look and minimal accessories to complete the look.
Don’t be afraid to add a touch of color with heels…nude or black cold work, but these red Valentino inspired heels from her closet pair well.
Lately, I’ve been having really quick days. Puff, minimal makeup and something quick to wear. I haven’t had too much time in the mornings to methodically plan out my outfit, which always seems to be the best looks. Granted I could if just woke up earlier, but thankfully I don’t because my skin has been on point—-which is the most important thing 😜.
There is a locally owned shop in my hometown, Savannah – Thread + Onion that has super cute items and the collections as a whole have Asian and Southern comfort inspired themes. Simple yet elegant. Structured yet comfortable. Plus, you can tell and feel that the items are handmade. This sweater dress is sooooo comfortable, I had to toss on some Adidas. But, it also looks great with flats (which I wore to work) and boots, like here.
The 2019 SCCPSS Teacher of the Year is Ms. Kiwonda Riley. When I walked into her classroom to meet her she was teaching a dance class (she also teaches English). She knows how to speak to teenagers, the cool teacher. I think she’s always been that way.
I remember in high school, I was probably a freshman or sophomore and seeing her in the halls. I think as a teen, you can easily identify people that you would like or admire, she was one of the persons for me. I was a dork, so she didn’t know it. I can recall her being a cheerleader and being very joyful and rambunctious, minus the bad rap as a mean girls that some cheerleaders carry. Safe to say, she’s still that same person. One to admire, but with a “started from the bottom, now i’m here” story, with such much humility.
I knew immediately, I had to capture to youthfulness and dance spirit in a chic look, completely gifted from Fabric and Dillards. Her look is perfect for school, brunch with the girls or the Food and Wine Festival with her fiancé.
